Black History Month Gala Night- From Recognition to Results

From Recognition to Results

This Black History Month, the Black Manitobans Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Manitoba Museum, invites the community to a powerful evening of remembrance, recognition, and purpose.

Held under the theme From Recognition to Results, this event reflects the Second International Decade of People of African Descent and challenges us to move beyond symbolic gestures toward meaningful outcomes.

At the heart of the evening is the Veteran BIPOC Legacy Award, which honors Black, Indigenous, and People of Color veterans whose service, sacrifice, and leadership have helped shape our communities and our province. Their contributions extend beyond uniforms, carrying forward values of resilience, justice, and responsibility.

This gathering is a moment to reflect on history, acknowledge service, and recommit to building a future rooted in equity, respect, and collective progress.
