Presents the second annual
BLACK HISTORY MONTH WELLNESS
Topic: Racial Trauma & Healing for the Black Community
Despite the efforts to support Canadians from African Descent and their mental health concerns, there remain hardships in accessing the necessary social, psychiatric, or psychological services that are culturally relevant.
On February 23rd, 2024, we encourage audience members, to appreciate knowledge from our guest speaker Patrick Tshivo, Clinical Therapist and Executive Director of Winnipeg RE/ACT Inc, and experience an open and thought-provoking group discussion to educate and empower ourselves.
The conversation focuses on providing People from African descent and the broader community with the opportunity to talk about Racial Trauma and it impacts openly, safely and respectfully with mental health professionals. By creating a safe space for people from African descent, to speak about their respected racial trauma lived experiences, we are building a healthier, safer and inclusive society for all.
RSVP is required.
